Tshimbo Abbe

For those new to Hope Sparked, as part of our summer fundraising campaign we will introduce you to a few students that are looking for a sponsor. These are students that we have helped get back into school, but need to secure a long-term commitment from someone to make sure they won’t have to stop going to class when their family can’t come up with the school fees. Please check out our sponsorship page to learn the details and decide if you can be the person that keeps the spark of hope burning for one of these students. They are desperately seeking a basic education, an opportunity most of us take so easily for granted.

Our first new student profile this year is for 11 year old Abbe. She is the youngest of four children that live with her mother. Her father passed away around 2010. Abbe loves to study, but her mother has not been able to find regular employment to keep her in school. She started school when she was six, but had to take a few years off until Hope Sparked helped her resume. She hopes to be able to complete her studies and work as a school teacher. Hope Sparked is looking for a sponsor to provide $30 a month to give her that opportunity.
