Official 501(c)(3) Status

Hope Sparked is now an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our tax-exempt status was approved by the IRS and is effective as of September 21st. All donations from that date forward are tax deductible. We are very grateful to those who were willing to donate before this important formal step was complete, and are very excited for continued growth.

We have also identified a property in the Mabulu area that would allow us to construct a school and community center, and will begin to develop plans to that end. While this is an ambitious goal, we are eagerly looking for donors to help us achieve it. We will continue to fund students in local schools, but believe we can have the greatest impact when we can provide education to the entire community rather than a select few. This facility will also allow us to develop adult and community education programs to facilitate employment and health goals. We plan to provide basic training in water sanitation, gardening, raising chickens, and sewing programs. With your help, we are confident we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with little hope for progress.
